T he title of this edition of Vision Magazine was taken from a simple childhood song of old, written from the teachings of Christ, found and documented by John Lomax in 1939. It serves as a reminder to embrace God's light and allow it to shine through you. Sometimes those un- assuming ideas can be the most profound, just like this song. The more you recite these words, the more you illuminate the light of the Lord and shine for Him. You will be amazed to find others chiming in with you because they are drawn to the light. The 2018 theme for FBCG was "Let there be light." The light of the Lord has shined brightly on FBCG this past year. Hundreds of people have en- tered the doors of our sanctuary to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior; lives have been changed forever. Once again, God has expanded our ter- ritory with the opening of the Family Life Center. As we reach the end of this year, we give all praises to our Father for thinking us worthy to shine His light before men so that they may see His good works in us and come to glorify our Father in Heaven. As Christians we are to be lights in the world, lights that dispel darkness. God brought light into your life because He intended for your light to be seen, not hidden. We at Vision Magazine, pray that you will be blessed through the remaining days of 2018 and continue to shine a light of love before men. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
