Overview of the Application Process Overview of the Application Process 1. Check the PVI examination administration and application dates. See the chart below for examination administration and application dates. Visit www.ARDMS.org/RPVI for more information. Applying online is fast, easy and secure. Visit www.ARDMS.org Special Accommodations In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ARDMS will provide reasonable testing accommodations for candidates with professionally diagnosed disabilities as defined by the ADA. Log on to www.ARDMS.org/ADA for complete instructions. Compliance with ARDMS Discipline Policies During the online application process, applicants are required to attest to their compliance with all ARDMS Discipline Policies. Applicants who have legal or disciplinary matters in their past must be prepared to disclose the matters to ARDMS at the time of application and submit the required initial review fee of $150 USD. Please review the ARDMS Discipline Policies (www.ARDMS.org/Discipline) to learn how the policies apply to you. Discipline Pre-Application Review ARDMS conducts a "pre-application review," for a $125 USD non-refundable fee, for individuals who wish to determine the impact of a previous violation of ARDMS Discipline Policies (www.ARDMS.org/Discipline) on their eligibility to apply for ARDMS certification. You may obtain additional information regarding the pre-application process along with the appropriate forms by visiting www.ARDMS.org/preapplication. www.ARDMS.org ID Requirements • At the test center, you must present two current, valid signature IDs, one of which must be a non-expired government-issued photo ID with your signature. • The name on your application and examination confirmation letter must exactly match the name on both current, valid signature IDs. • Failure to present two acceptable IDs will prevent your admission to the test center. If this happens, you will be marked absent and you will forfeit the entire examination, fee and seat. Visit: www.ARDMS.org/Apply for additional details. 2. Before beginning the online application, please… • Review the PVI examination prerequisite (in this guide or at www.ARDMS.org/RPVI) to assure you meet the requirements. • Please note that scores for each window examination period will be available approximately sixty (60) days after the examination administration period ends. You will receive an e-mail and instructions on how to access your score via the secure MY ARDMS site (www.ARDMS.org/MYARDMS) when the score becomes available. The award date of your RPVI credential will be the date the score is officially released. 3. Visit www.ARDMS.org/Apply. Fill out, pay for and submit your application online. Print out your online application summary which will include a list of the "Required Documents and Payment Information" and the submission deadline date. Applicants may check the status of their required application support documentation by logging onto www.ARDMS.org/MYARDMS. 4. ARDMS e-mails eligible applicants an Examination Confirmation Letter upon receipt of the application and all required supporting documentation in the ARDMS office. Examination Confirmation letters may also be found by logging onto www.ARDMS.org/MYARDMS. The letter lists the approved examination(s) and the eligibility period in which to schedule and take your examination(s). A website address and toll free number are provided so the candidate can schedule an appointment. Testing sites are located in the U.S., Canada and select international locations*. Ineligible applicants are notified of their ineligibility and reasons for that decision. ARDMS retains a $100 USD processing fee for each examination. 5. Prepare for the examination: Review the PVI content outline and take the practice examination by logging on to www.ARDMS.org/RPVI. 6. On examination day: All examinations are in English and administered on a computer in a secure testing center. Please see the important ID requirements noted in the box on the following page. Please note that you will not receive your score upon completion of the PVI examination. Please see the "After the Examination" section below for details on receiving your score. 7. After the examination: Please note that scores for each window examination period will be available approximately sixty (60) days after the examination administration period ends. The award date of your RPVI credential will be the date the score is officially released. After the RPVI credential is earned, the Registrant will receive a credentialing packet containing a temporary ARDMS Identification (ID) card and a certificate** within six weeks. Registrants are listed in the ARDMS online directory at www.ARDMS.org. *Please visit www.ARDMS.org/Schedule for a current list of testing center locations. **Certificates can be displayed only by ARDMS Registrants who hold active status.
