Midwife Sonography (MW) Certificate The Midwife Sonography examination assesses the knowledge, skills and abilities in the areas of the female reproductive system as well as the fetus in the first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy. By earning the Midwife Sonography Certificate, midwives gain a critical edge in promoting public safety in women's point-of-care ultrasound. In order to earn the Midwife Sonography Certificate, the certified midwife must pass both of the required components: • Midwife Sonography computer-based examination • Midwife Sonography Image (case) submission The Midwife Sonography computer-based examination and image (case) submission are only offered during selected times of the year. Application Dates for Midwife Sonography Examination Midwife Sonography Examination Administration Dates July 13 - September 13, 2016 October 11 - November 10, 2016 Highlights of the Easy and Secure ARDMS Online Application Process • You can return to the application anytime to finish it. • You can correct mistakes and make changes. • You will be alerted if any of the required fields have not been filled in. • Online payment is secure, safe and instantaneous. • A personalized application summary, which details documentation and other materials you will need to submit to complete the application process, is provided at the conclusion of the online application process. Test Center Admission and Identification When you arrive at the test center, be prepared to: • Check in with a Test Center Administrator. • Present one valid photo ID (new and improved policy!). • Have your palm vein scanned. • Take a test – day photograph. Special Accommodations In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ARDMS will provide reasonable testing accommodations for candidates with professionally diagnosed disabilities as defined by the ADA. ARDMS Compliance Policies and Required Review During the online application process, applicants are required to attest to their compliance with all ARDMS compliance policies. Applicants who have criminal or disciplinary actions in their past must be prepared to disclose such actions to ARDMS at the time of application and submit the required initial review fee of $150 USD. Please review the ARDMS compliance policies at (ARDMS.org/Compliance). Compliance Pre-Application Review ARDMS will conduct a "pre-application review," for a $125 USD non- refundable fee, for individuals who wish to determine the impact of a previous violation of ARDMS compliance policies (ARDMS.org/Compliance) on their eligibility to apply for ARDMS certification.
